Art Decade was born at the end of the 80's in Lyon, in the burst of the French Cold Wave-scene. A first home made tape was circulating in 1989 ('Urban Line'), a first real CD in 1993 ('Loreen'), still self-released but world-wide distributed by Dark Vinyl in Germany. Few selected gigs, including an opening slot for Blaine Reininger and Steven Brown (Tuxedomoon) and a much regarded piece, composed for a contemporary Dance act turned Art Decade into a band, far apart from the usual French Dark music scene. Ten years after the project's split, its members re-joined in 2010 to deliver a very surprising album, Melting the dark and noisy side of their early years with a progressive and new, poetic style - a kind of homage and rendition to the decades that passed, and the ones to come!
