With the 40 minute long album “Det som ska se ut slutet”, the Swedes Diskoteket ascend from the underground of Uppsala, to present their exuberant, raw, pompous and painful true Post Punk. Post Punk, that draws us back into a time, where Punk conquered the dancefloors. The singer Anna‐Karin Andersson plays the gallery with her aggressive‐mourning voice and, as on the debut EP, this is carried by a wonderful bass guitar, that gives the basis to the soundscape of the Swedes, where the Goth‐Rock hints make a perfect figure.
Diskoteket’s New Wave / Post Punk mixture and the swedish lyrics don’t only amaze the fans of dark sounds, but it gets a lot of attention outside that scene as well. To steady their own expectations to professionality, the debut album is only available as a limited and costly packed clear vinyl edition. In Germany the album will be available exclusively via ALTONE Distribution.
