The 'I Scream Brothers' were founded by Mark Hughes and Phil Shephard in Doncaster (UK) in 1980 and were joined shortly afterwards by John K. White. The band played gigs around the north of England and recorded a few demo songs. There have not been any releases, except a compilation appearance on the 'Your Secret's Safe With Us' LP and two songs were re-recorded and produced by 'Cabaret Voltaire' for the '5 Miles To Mid- night' compilation LP in 1981 (the first release of Mar- cus Featherby's Pax Records label). After the 'I Scream Brothers' split up, Mark and Phil formed 'Shout The Shout', a more mainstream project and John White went on to work on his solo-act 'UV Pop' whose singles, EP's and albums have become classic collector's items and have all been reissued in recent years. This release features a collection of the 'I Scream Brothers' demos as well as early 'UV Pop' demos, all of which were re- corded in John's cellar and had been given away as cas- settes at the time. The CD includes 10 bonus tracks, 8 original demos of classic 'UV Pop' songs and the above mentioned two 'I Scream Brothers' tracks produced by 'Cabaret Voltaire'. The LP comes in white vinyl, includes an inlay with old photographs and the CD as a bonus. The CD version comes in a gatefold digisleeve.
